Rains Today Live: Light intensity rain lashed parts of Noida on Tuesday morning. At least 200 houses on the Hindon floodplain in Bahlolpur, Lakhnavali, Chotpur Colony and Chhajarsi were submerged, displacing around 500 people as the water level in the river crossed 201 metres in Noida on Monday.
Meanwhile, the weather department expects high intensity rain from Tuesday onwards as the monsoon line of trough moves towards Delhi. “The monsoon line of trough will move towards Delhi again. Besides, there is a cyclonic circulation in northern parts which may have impact over Delhi and adjoining areas over the next few days,” an official said.
